NEW YORK, April 4, 2006--His Holiness the Dalai Lama will visit Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires, Santiago (Chile), Lima, and Bogotá from April 26 to May 12 this year.
He will be in Sao Paulo from April 26 to 29, during which he will give a teaching on "Seven Point Mind Training" to Buddhist community of Brazil at Zu Lai Temple.
Located in Cotia on the outskirts of Sao Paulo City, Zu Lai is the biggest Chinese Mahayana Buddhist Temple in Latin America.
His Holiness will also deliver lectures on "Wisdom and Compassion" and "Science and Spirituality" for the Fededral University of Sao Paulo's School of Medicine.

From April 30-May 2, His Holiness will be in Buenos Aires, where he will give a public talk on "Inner Peace, Outer Peace", and a teaching on "The Seven Point Mind Training" to the Buddhist community of Argentina.
He will also participate in a dialogue on "Health and Spirituality" and in an "Inter-religious Prayer for Peace" at La Rural Convention Center.

He will participate in a full-day seminar on the "Exploration of Mind", co-hosted by the University of Chile and University of Valpraiso, give a public talk on "The Power of Compassion", and a teaching to the Buddhist community of Chile at Santiago Arena Convention Center in Parque O'Higgins.
He will also address intellectuals and opinion-makers at the University of Chile and receive an Honorary Doctorate Degree from the University of Santiago.

From Santiago, His Holiness will depart for Lima, the capital of Peru, for a three-day program (May 7 to 9), that includes a public talk on "The Power of Tolerance" at the Catholic University of Peru, a visit to Cuzco, the mythical capital of the Inca Empire, where he will give a public talk on "Ancient Culture in Modern Society", and participation in the "Inter-religious Prayer for Peace".
